What is this?
Evento is an android application that is beneficial for people looking to conduct programs and functions. The main objective of Evento is a convenient method to book and view events in and around the user’s interests in the desired time. Evento is the application of project management to the creation and development of large-scale events. The process of planning and coordinating the event is usually referred to as event planning and which can include budgeting, scheduling, site selection, acquiring necessary permits, coordinating transportation and parking, arranging for speakers or entertainers, arranging decor, event security, catering, coordinating with third-party vendors, and emergency plans. The events industry now includes events of all sizes from the Olympics down to business breakfast meetings. Many industries, charitable organizations, and interest groups hold events to market themselves, build business relationships, raise money, or celebrate achievement. An event refers to a social gathering or activity, such as a festival, (for example a musical festival), a ceremony (for example a marriage), and a party (for example a birthday party …etc.). In addition, this app provides a chatting facility for smooth communication between the event manager and the client.
Features
Login
Both the user and event management companies can log in to the system using their registered phone number and password.
Register
To enter the system user and company should register first. Requirements of registration are first name/company name, last name, username, email id, password, and phone number.
Forgot Password
If the user forgot the password, the user can send a reset link to the mail id to reset the password.
Logout
The user can log out from the system after their use.
Add Packages
Companies can add their packages based on the events they hand over.
Search
Users can search packages according to appropriate events.
Filter
The user can filter the event management companies based on their locations. Also, they can filter the companies based on rating.
Select Packages
Users can select packages based on their events.
Chat option
This option provides users and companies to interact with each other.
Book Packages
This option provides a booking facility for users according to their needs.
Ratings/Feedback
Users can provide ratings based on their experience.
View and edit profile
Users and companies can view and edit their profiles as per their needs.
Change Password
After logging into the system, the users or companies can change their existing password by entering their old password and the new password.
Development process
- Developed using Kotlin on Android Studio.
- Used Google Firebase Authentication and Realtime DataBase.
- Google Maps Api used for location services.
